Description:Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs), also known as Human Mononuclear Cells from Peripheral Blood (HMNC-PB) are generated through the hematopoiesis. PBMC is a group of blood cells of immune system, having a single and round nucleus. They are critical to human body immunity. PBMC isolation is usually processed through density gradient centrifugation of the peripheral blood.
PBMC Composition
Human PBMC is composed of around 70-90% different lymphocytes (T cells, B cells, and NK cells), 10-20% dendritic cells, and 1-2% monocytes.
As a component of innate and adaptive immune system, PBMCs are widely used in clinical research and applications such as: immunology, hematological malignancies, infectious disease, vaccine development, transplant immunology. Besides, PBMCs can also be used in high-throughput screening, proteomics, toxicology and pre-clinical research. Cryopreserved PBMCs can be used for positive and negative controls for T-cell monitoring in ELISPOT, ELISA, cytokine bead array, tetramer/pentamer, and flow cytometry assays.;
Quality Control:All cells test negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi;
Application:For research use only.
